Health Care Reform Survey
A study was conducted among members of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® to gauge awareness and perceived impact of the impending Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. According to survey respondents, sixty-four percent were either somewhat aware or not aware at all of the individual mandate provision of the Act. Seventy-two percent are “somewhat aware or not aware” of the government subsidies offered under the Act. Forty percent believe the new federal health care requirements will have a negative impact on their day-to-day life, while just 20 percent believe it will have a positive impact.
